Herstory: A Celebration of Women in Medicine

Life Luxe Learning and the National Medical Association are partnering to present Herstory: A Celebration of Women in Medicine, an event during which these outstanding medical leaders will be honored.

Life Luxe Learning is excited to announce this historic gathering of five distinguished female medical organization leaders. The event will be held at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The Celebration of Women in Medicine will include a forum during which these exceptionally talented women will address medical issues, including public health concerns such as violence, mental illness, and drug use and misuse (children's meds, opioid addiction); major challenges impacting U.S. drug policy as it relates to rising prevalence of behavioral health diagnoses; and medical innovations. In addition, the medical leaders will share insights on their respective journeys to leadership.

Community Outreach

Life Luxe Learning and the National Medical Association are offering medical professionals a unique continuing education opportunity as well as an opportunity to support local charities in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Life Luxe Learning is pleased to partner with the Letty Coppel Foundation and the Amigos de los Ninos to provide much needed medical support in one of the areas hit hardest by Tropical Storm Lidia. Millions of people were impacted and thousands devasted by the storm which left 20 people dead.

Several areas are still trying to recover from the tragic event and are in need of medical assistance. Through our local partnerships, a group of medical professionals will be going in to the community to perform medical assessments and screenings.

When: November 1st
Time: 10am to 4pm

We are offering both medical and non-medical professionals an opportunity to be part of our community outreach as well as options to participate in on-site wellness activities. Space is limited. Transportation from Pueblo Bonito provided.

About Amigos de los Niños

For the past 26 years and as Los Cabo's first authorized Non Governmental Organization, Amigos de los Niños (ADLN) has lead the way in the Los Cabos community providing quality medical care for children who have no other option or healthcare provider. ADLN offers life changing medical attention for children through two programs: ADLN Free Clinics and ADLN Special Case Care.

ADLN Free Clinics offer pediatric dental treatment for over 600 children annually, audio testing and free hearing aids for 80 plus children, and eye surgery to correct strabismus for 20 children each year. And, joining with other NGOs, we are able to provide 10 open-heart surgeries, 10 catheter procedures, and 10 ablations for children with congenital heart defects annually.

ADLN Special Case Program cares for Los Cabos children suffering from cancer, providing emotional and financial assistance to assure they do not abandon treatment. ADLN also covers the cost of medicine and special imaging or lab testing for severely and chronically ill children.

Our record of transparency and goal-oriented impact for the good of Los Cabos children provides the opportunity for donors to see the results of our work. We thank you for your support.

The jazz event will be hosted at the luxurious Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort, which was named by Travel and Leisure Magazine as the "World's Most Romantic All-Inclusive Resort." In addition to enjoying incredible beaches and great music, golf enthusiasts will have access to the award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature Design golf course. When it opened in 2014, the course was named by Golf Magazine as the "2014 Best New International Golf Course" and more recently was bestowed with the "Editors' Choice Award for Best in Travel 2017 by Golf Digest."

The Life Luxe Jazz Experience: Life Luxe Jazz is an annual festival that celebrates all that is wonderful about jazz music, while also encouraging cultural exchange. In addition to offering a music-driven experience for attendees, the founders of Life Luxe Jazz are committed to using the festival as a means to raise money for charity. In conjunction with their partners at The Letty Coppel Foundation, which is based in Mexico, the Atlanta-based founders of Life Luxe Jazz are raising funds and awareness regarding community development and ecological stressors in the Los Cabos region.
